Il suo territorio, oltre ad essere stato scelto dai romani per captare l\u2019acqua, \u00e8 ricco di testimonianze archeologiche. Apparteneva al Monastero di Subiaco, che lo incastell\u00f2 tra il 1005 e il 1051. All\u2019ingresso del centro storico c\u2019\u00e8 l\u2019Arco del cardinale Colonna, fatto costruire nel 1503 ma in un\u2019altra localit\u00e0. Sulla strada Sublacense \u00e8 visitabile il modesto santuario della Madonna del Passo, con un dipinto molto venerato dagli Agostani, ancora oggi abili intrecciatori di canestri.
